Storming 'tropical house' recordings from one of Ayrshire's finest electronic music wizards, Galaxis Quench. The tracks were originally written, performed and produced by Graeme Wright between 1997 and 1998 on a Tascam Portastudio 414 MkII, before being gigged extensively in dark and dingy basement clubs and hazy intoxicating after-parties around the central belt.

The original recordings exist only on cassette tapes which are now lost. Graeme passed away in 2015. His frequencies should be accessible to all.

In May 2013, Graeme and myself set about cleaning up the deteriorating analogue tapes and re-mastering them digitally. The process involved religious disassembly of the Tascam 4-track machine, cleaning each individual component, re-assembly and tape playback, live mixing by Graeme and digital capture of the stereo output.

The files were given a touch of post-production treatment using compression to normalize levels. Some effects have been added with sensitivity.
